Job Summary:
Fleet Mechanic is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of vehicles and equipment within the Company's fleet. Ensure that all vehicles operate safely, efficiently, and in compliance with regulations and company standards.
Essential Job Requirements:
- High School Diploma required
- Post-secondary automotive certification or training preferred
- Individual should have strong automotive and hydraulic background
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, diagrams, and schematics
- Welding or fabrication experience a plus
- Must have a valid driver's license; CDL a plus
- Ability to multitask and prioritize is essential
- Overtime hours and some Saturdays will be required
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
- Proficiency with diagnostic tools and fabrication equipment
- Familiarity with preventative maintenance procedures
- Skilled in reading and interpreting equipment manuals and work orders
- Ability to use a variety of power tools and other equipment effectively
- Physically able to stand, bend, climb, and reach overhead and below waist level on a daily basis
- Able to lift 10 pounds regularly and over 25 pounds occasionally
- Knowledge and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
Job Duties:
- Inspect, diagnose, and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems, on fleet vehicles, including cars, semi-trucks, forklifts, and golf carts
- Perform preventative maintenance, such as oil changes, tire rotations, fluid checks, and tune-ups
- Troubleshoot vehicle issues using diagnostic tools and fabrication equipment
- Maintain accurate service records and logs of all maintenance work performed
- Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintained and service
- Install fleet vehicle add-ons and modifications as needed
- Use power tools and other equipment to complete machinal tasks
- Perform physically demanding duties, including standing, bending, climbing, and lifting
- Use personal protective equipment as required
